Finally…

Robs scheduled hernia operation was moved yesterday from Lancaster to Blackburn! It was that or wait again, so of course we agreed to it.
We got down there for 1 as requested, and I left to visit an old friend who lives close by. This was a lovely opportunity as we haven’t met for several years. And fortunate too….
As the hours went by, I was thinking that they would be getting on with the surgery, but around 4 Rob messaged to say he was still waiting!
There was another long gap, until he finally messaged to say he was done and eating a toasted sandwich!
I found him comfortably lounging in bed with the tv on, and apart from being sore he was eager to get going.
We got home around 9.30 so a long day, especially for Bonnie who had no idea what was going on. And she had to contend with Maria’s very feisty cat!
Glad that’s all over….now Rob needs four weeks of complete rest which will be relaxing?!
