GR20 Day 2

Another predawn start and off we go. With serious thunderstorms forecast we avoid the ridge and take the low level alternative - which is not a walk in the park - as someone commented it’s like a Grand Canyon hike - down to the river then up again. Just near tonight’s refuge campsite we practise scrambling and chains to a wonderful plunge pool picnic spot and the storm stays off long enough for us to enjoy it.
