And what a queue!
Went out for an early bike ride so that I’d get home in time to join the fiasco on Ticketmaster for Oasis tickets for my son who is 50 in a couple of weeks and has always been a huge fan. My daughter in law and a few other family members were all trying as well and she was about 20k ahead of me in the queue but given that the risk of being chucked out was fairly high I stuck in there. I was still able to get on with prep for my sister’s 60th birthday celebrations taking place on the garden on Sunday, and go meet some friends for coffee (one of whom was doing exactly the same as me - also for her son) and it was while I was with them that the queue started moving really quickly and it became clear that only the highest priced tickets would be available but I held on, and got through to choose tickets and got chucked out. My friend was the same so we both decided that we wouldn’t bother rejoining the queue. My daughter in law did better tho and managed to get tickets but paid well over the advertised prices due to the ridiculous practice of dynamic pricing. She’s not told my son, so he’ll be over the moon to get those on his birthday:-)
It’s all about the birthdays just now, my other son came up later to help me put the gazebo up for my sister’s party. Then I spent the evening cooking, baking, and making sweet treats :-)
