Dunnock on the ivy

After I blipped yesterday we had a mega thunderstorm for an hour or so with great sheets of rain.  The rain will have helped to top up the pond, which is good, and indeed the plants in the garden are all looking quite refreshed today.

Unfortunately we still have that blanket of grey cloud with us today, as you can see from this shot of a Dunnock.  Not long after I took this one, it started to rain again.  Undoubtedly we are in meteorological autumn.
