Today was mainly spent on handling admin tasks, but for a 30-minute call with a potential funder. It was remarkably simple. They want us to investigate something that we're doing anyway, and are prepared to pay us £100k to do it. At the end of the afternoon they sent me the near-complete 2-page PowerPoint (!) that they'll need to pitch the job to their superiors, and all I had to do was review it and add a couple of sentences about HiGHS. If it doesn't work out, at least I've not invested much time into it!

In the evening I took Django out, and we met Kermit at the end of a lane near our house. Django normally pulls at the lead when he sights a cat, but they respectfully acknowledged each other.
