Standby

At the moment work is a thankless orchestration of activity coordination, triangulation and rescheduling. We are trying to organise a key event but the government is delaying and not providing enough clarity to finalise all the details. Now we have a consultant who has arrived in-country to help facilitate the activity, which was delayed last minute. Cue a scramble to ensure he can use his time effectively.

I minced around at the small Lichinga airport all morning trying to amend my ticket to return to Maputo, but I was ultimately unsuccessful because competition for seats was intense. I retreated to the same guesthouse I’d just checked out of and resolved to do what I can to support the consultant remotely. A futile morning but at least the airport grounds have nice jacaranda trees to look at.
