The Watchdog

I decided to drive home after work along the country roads rather than take the usual direct, motorway route. Again, it was such a lovely evening there seemed to be no urgency about the journey and as I passed by the Bridge Inn by the Union Canal at Ratho I decided to spend a few minutes there to see what was happening on the canal.

A few canal boats were about and then I noticed this little fellow keeping a watchful eye whilst Martin, his owner, carried out repairs to the bow of his boat (do canal boats have bows???)
