Beach day
The weather forecast seemed confident in its predictions that today would be the warmest/best day of the week, so we headed off for a beach day at our newly discovered location.
The sun was out for a little while, soon disappearing behind a mass of un-forecast cloud, but it didn’t stop us running down sand dunes, playing cricket and football, building sandcastles and having a play in the sea. For some reason The Youngest felt the need to “floss” (dance not teeth) in the sea?
I even got to read a couple of pages of my book!
With the weather clearly on the turn, we packed up after lunch and headed up to Berwick upon Tweed for a brew and a doughnut by the marina.
We then headed back to site for an afternoon of swimming (the pool was HEAVING), a peaceful pedalo powered potter around the lake and yet another game of crazy golf where The Youngest emerged triumphant!
The day finished with uncontrollable giggles via a child-friendly version of Cards Against Humanity.
Great fun!
