Love Birds

"Give us a kiss!"

It was a lovely sunny morning (with no rain forecast!) so we had a walk to Jesmond Dene, including popping into "Pets' Corner" which usually provides some blippertunities. My favourite shot is this of two "love birds" - which no doubt the New Zealand blippers will recognise as Kakariri. Getting the photo was tricky as they were in a (large) cage and therefore the view was obstructed by the wire mesh of the cage which I couldn't avoid completely in spite of using a longish lens at a wide aperture and focussing manually (plus some cloning during processing)..

I also liked the extra: I'm calling that photo "Positive and Negative", as you can see from the diptych, one duck seems to be pretty well identical to the other, but in negative form!
