Swan Lake

Well, river really, and only just a swan, but it made me smile. As soon as I saw it I knew it was my blip.

We walked from Stratford (E London rather than Upon Avon) to North Greenwich today, following The Line, a sculpture and art trail. To be honest some of the 'art' was a bit underwhelming but once you're out of the traffic chaos of Stratford it's a good walk along the canals, rivers, creeks and docks of East London. The last part needed a trip on the cable car across the Thames at Victoria Dock - my first cable car! As tourist traps go, I thought it was OK value for money (£6 each way); the sights up and down the river and docks were pretty amazing.

We finished at the O2 and as it was an irritating time for eating (too late for lunch, too early for dinner) headed home after a bit of outlet store retail therapy. If you can call a sports bra (50% off) retail therapy.

A fun day out was had by all!
