Hanging On
A trip to Basingstoke was called for in the search of some new walking boots for an up and coming trip to The Lakes next month.
Objective achieved, I headed to The Vyne for the afternoon, and had a relaxing time observing the flora and fauna, as well as a quick chat with a friend from choir who volunteers as a guide there.
As I strolled round the lake I spotted this dragonfly, I believe a ruddy darter, flitting around the grasses. If you look large you can see that his wings are a little tatty, but after all the end of season is rapidly approaching.
