Sgwarnog: In the Field

Meadow

Having been absent for much of the summer, the Peacock butterflies are now having their moment. In my favourite meadow it’s the Devil’s-bit scabious, as the late-season meadow flower, that is providing their nectar of choice.

Later, I walked down to Esholt for some early evening Craven League football, with Baildon Trinity Athletic hosting Silsden Whitestar reserves in a D1 fixture. After a goalless first half, Whitestar ran away with it for a 1-4 win.
