Journey Home

We are all set here, ready to jump in the car and start the 325 mile journey north. We enjoyed staying at Pondside Barn for one night. It was exactly the sort of place we were looking for to allow us a good 45 minute head start on our journey home compared to having stayed another night in London. The journey itself took six and a half hours, with three short stops. But it didn't seem that long. We listened to a whole load of Beatles songs for about an hour after setting off. Once past Tebay services it seemed we were almost home (even though that is still two hours away).
