Cool Woody

She had a splashing good time in the bog and then flew up to a dead tree trunk to preen. This female Pileated is becoming a regular visitor at the Bark Butter Feeder and now that she's 'discovered' the bog, we'll no doubt be seeing her even more often. I only wish that the bog was large enough for me to cool off in. C & I have been without our AC for a week now, since its fan motor died. I just got the call that the 'part is in' and that a tech will be here bright and early tomorrow morn to install it. Those of you in cooler climates might think that no AC isn't such a big deal. But...here in North Central Florida with the daily temps in the mid 90'sF throughout the summer months and our usual high humidity... it's a necessity! Fans do help but not much since they just push the hot air around... m
