Jamming

I cancelled today’s walk as I’m not quite up to hiking yet. However, I did walk up to the top of the village on a short circuit just to see what my energy levels are like. I called in to see a friend who has had a new kitchen fitted to see if I would like to use the same company. His kitchen is very nice but also very small and as it cost nearly €20,000 I think that is on the steep side. I interrupted a session of three musicians, my friend on the clavinova playing harpsichord and organ and the two others on recorder and mandolin. I stopped for a while to be entertained as they are all serious musicians. They were playing an early baroque piece by an Italian composer. I had never heard of. In the afternoon, an Irish friend texted me to see if I wanted a drink down at the bar in the village so I joined him for an hour.
