Day 7 Travelling/Home

A rather rubbish journey from Plymouth to London!! But Katie did really well, she slept a lot of it and when she didn't she snuggled with me, played with her King Lion from the Lion King and Monkey. She began to get a little hot as the morning dawned and our journey was more and more delayed, but she did great. We were 3 hours late into London so we got only to say a fleeting "hi have a few hugs" to Uncle Simon, instead of the relaxing breakfast we'd planned. But once we made it across London to Kings Cross, Katie chose a picnic breakfast for her and I to enjoy before our trains home. When our second train pulled in to our home town, she started to literally bounce. When we got from it to our taxi, her excitement was uncontrollable. Squeals and bounces the full 5 minute journey back.

We pottered for a little while before getting the bike out and going to her swimming lesson. She got to wear what is supposed to be her holiday swimming costume for later in the year but we didn't have her usual one. She looked rather adorable as "Jessie the Cowgirl" (what she calls her self-selected Woody sunsuit). She did some brilliant swimming, so pleased to be back at "her" pool even though she missed only one class and one mummy/Katie swim. She said to me after "I did some really good front and back swimming today, Lisa told me". We arrived back home and she went straight into the paddling pool. She troughed a huge tea before sitting down in the lounge to do some colouring in. She fell asleep with her pen in her hand.
