Prepped
It's 6.30pm and you're on dinner duty so you start the preparations only to be told, mid-onion, that the child, the only person you're cooking for (in addition to yourself) is not even home. An after-school meeting with friends at Tim Horton's is still in progress so your chopped veg and marinating chicken will just have to wait and then wait some more because food will have been eaten at Timmy's (as the young people call it).
Other than that, the wood for under the sink (see yesterday) got its final coat of varnish and is being left to dry in the garage undisturbed for fear of generating the great enemy - dust. So the day's pottering was done between the back room sorting out and tidying and in the greenhouse with some tidying, some dismantling and some planting (pak choi for winter and broccoli for spring).
