New day

Went out early this morning to get fruit for breakfast and stopped off at the edge of a cornfield for a snatched blip. Needless to say, I spent longer than I meant to, but I had the time and it was so gorgeous.

My blip subject is a burnet moth. There were lots around and clouds of butterflies. This little fella had just emerged from his chrysalis lower down the grass stalk and was drying his wings in the sun - which meant he posed nicely for my camera!
