10 days to go

With 10 days to go before the Olympics, I just couldn't resist this shot of the extraordinary outbreak of bunting Winchester is currently suffering from.

So apologies to RedFlash and others who've blipped this, but - having had a go at the Jubilee bunting - I wanted my own record of 2012 bunting mark II. Today at lunchtime I thought it anyway looked particularly of the moment with lots of dark skies and To Let boards jostling with colour and sunshine - a sort of national statement of where we are.

Three reasons to be happy: 1) I'm feeling a lot better today, 2) Looks like my colleague and I will be going to the Edinburgh Fringe of a couple of nights (yay) and 3) from Saturday the weather is supposed to be getting much better for several weeks - or so say the forecasters. I'm not sure I believe them, but being a born optimist...
