Puddle

One lonely little puddle :0)

Took the kids out for a walk between rain showers, it has been so wonderfully cool - I thought I'd record this puddle as it was a bit of an unusual sight in Texas in July...the kids tried their hardest to get the dog to walk through the puddle (I have no idea why). They circled him around and around it, and jumped across it calling him, but he was having none of it - smart dog :0)

The boys from down the road came up in the afternoon and there was much mud play out in the field - and apparantly in the almost empty stock pond which looks more like a mud pit with a puddle in the middle at this point. Obviously no one cares that there are snakes in the water, despite my many reminders :0/
Most of them wore wellies, but 2 of them were trudging about in their bare feet so I had to stand them in the bath and rinse them off when they got back to the house - and give the neighbour a clean pair of shorts, he looked like he'd been in a mud fight :0)
