Milo’s Birthday

It’s Milo’s 19th birthday today, although, with the man himself away in a field near Reading, the morning was pretty uneventful. Vanessa is working all weekend as well, so the house remained quiet all morning, with the remaining boys having a lie-in. It rained heavily most of the day, so Milo’s festival must have provided a very authentic and muddy experience… but in the birthday photo he kindly sent me, the weather doesn’t look too bad. Well-wishing birthday texts went unanswered till the afternoon when Milo explained he had only just woken (and sobered) up after the night before – which sounds like the best way to approach the whole festival thing, come to think of it. Milo shares his birthday with Vanessa’s sister, Tara, who lives nearby. She was able to join us for a pleasant Saturday evening, so we did have a few little celebrations going on.
