A Thai Tale Or Two At The Festival, Maidstone
Today was our usual weekly shop (we never manage to leave without spending £90 or more) followed by our obligatory beer each at the Horseshoes in East Farleigh. On the way back home my brother decided, on the off chance, that we should stop off in Maidstone to see if we could get an image each. We parked the car and headed towards the river and that's when I thought I could hear some music coming from the other side of the river so we decided to investigate.
Unknown to us the Amazing Thailand Festival was taking place in Lockmeadow so we crossed the footbridge and we were so glad we did as it was just such a perfect occasion to capture some photographs. My main image was rare for me as it's a street portrait - I didn''t even ask her to pose, she just saw me, smiled and there was my shot. Hopefully, my other photographs represent the flavour of the event. What makes it even better was the pure serendipity of it all. Initially we were just going to head home but then made a very quick decision to head into town instead!
