Some like it hot

We had a quick meal tonight involving a salad. The green peppers look very innocent but it turns out they were very hot so they ended up in the compost. They are padron peppers which we had in our veg box this week. The accompanying leaflet said they are usually mild but occasionally you may come across a very hot one, we did!
We’re off on our holidays tomorrow, to Scotland. So it’s been a day of using up things in the fridge …
