Just Like That!

FRIDAY

This morning brought a hint of autumn as Storm Lilian’s aftermath lingered. I awoke to the central heating kicking in for the first time in weeks, a gentle nudge to order more LPG for our off-grid setup.

In the garden, I finally finished work on the  slate chips along the paths and laid down some paving flags to create a solid base for our two garden waste bins. 

The village is buzzing with Bank Holiday events, including a “Flowerpot Festival.” Residents have embraced their creative sides, using plant pots to create everything from a friendly spider to a Tommy Cooper homage. I took a stroll this evening and saw a plant pot bookworm , and what looked like an Elephant Man. People's  imagination knows no bounds.

I spent tonight putting together my own entry, which remains under wraps for now.
