Serious talk

Bit pretentious, sending it to black and white but it focusses Waleed and Jonathan’s faces and took out all that noisy colour. 

Cold and rainy today, storm Lilian incoming.  I slept for barely two hours last night and ended up listening to Persuasion on Audible from about 2am to 5.30 when I had to get up. I have learned not to listen to anything too dark (ie most literature I like) in the small hours when I’m not sleeping.  It wrecks me for the day. 

Got into London early to have breakfast with Lorenzo at the Charlotte St hotel.  He was robust but sympathetic about how things are going at work. Went into the office for a couple of hours before going out to lunch with an old colleague who has just been made redundant from the BBC.  As a high flyer she’s taking it terribly badly so it was a sad reunion.  

A writer from LA was in London and came in for a meeting. We had to tell him of our changed circumstances which worried him a bit but then L came in to say how much he loved his script which perked him up no end. 

Shot off to dinner, doing calls on the way on a wet and sweaty walk to Warren St then a delayed tube to Kings X.  Did a call with our US sales team before going in to dinner with Waleed, JC and Joana. They were all so fired up and although I had to desaturate it I rather like this pic of JC and Waleed talking Middle Eastern politics. 

On reflection an amazing amount of glasses given we didn’t drink that much.  I think they kept bringing us tasters…
