Symme-tree

Three of us for golf this morning as Henri was back from his trip to Wales. Here’s another blip of my favourite tree on the course or, to be more accurate, on the practice ground. It’s my favourite partly because of its symmetry but mainly because it’s one of the only trees on the course that I haven’t hit a ball into over the years!

As a case in point, this morning’s highlight was when I sliced my drive deep into the trees off the 9th tee and, just as I took my second shot in an attempt to get it out of the trees, Phil, who was on the fairway behind me, reminded me to keep my head down. I did so and connected solidly but my shot hit the final tree ahead of me and ricocheted backwards just over the top of Phil’s head: a good job he heeded his own advice!
