Hiding
The birds are still very keen on visiting the feeder, this is the only year I've kept it going during the summer, but they do like hiding from the camera! This morning was busy, I got my Sainsbury's delivery first thing and then drove over to Cromer to observe the North Norfolk Council's Development Committee deliberate the planning application for Holt Hall which neighbours my bungalow. It's a huge development, but I was disappointed that the councillors only talked about it for a tad over an hour before approving it. Don't get me wrong, I am in favour of it in principle, but there are concerns over the approach being taken and it's impact on neighbours, on the Kelling Road, on traffic flow in town and the lack of pedestrian access and whilst some of these were discussed, no action was requested other than 'it's taken into account' or 'kept under review'. Lots of praising the work the council officers had put in during the meeting - to be honest it was all a bit weird to watch being someone who audited things like governance and the role of committees. Lots of backslapping and handshakes between the Gresham's contingent afterwards. This afternoon I was shattered and just caught up with some tv. I did manage to get out in the garden and take the top 3ft off my buddleia now that the flowers are over and gales are forecast for tomorrow.
