Hamlet

G,M &I went to see Hamlet at Holkham this evening, performed by The Lord Chamberlain’s Men. I’ve been going virtually every year since 2007 to these outdoor productions of Shakespeare’s plays, with all roles performed by men as would have been the case when they were first performed. Tonight there were just 7 actors performing all roles. Brilliant. I was particularly impressed by how they depicted Hamlet’s ghost as in my photo. 

It’s been a long day as I had to drive 29 miles to Norwich to get my windscreen replaced. I was stressed about driving with a cracked windscreen, so drove no faster than 40mph, but all was well. The replacement takes 3 hours including calibration, so it was fortunate that a 5 min walk away was a small shopping area. Even so, I was soooo bored waiting for it to be completed. I was asking the Technician a few questions and he said that in his opinion Toyota windscreens were thinner and he’ll probably be seeing me again!!!
