...this rather lethal looking tool. Holly, my home PT person, suggested I get one to help me get in and out of the car. It works wonderfully and my test drive yesterday went perfectly.  I feel perfectly confident now to drive into town this afternoon for my first outpatient PT visit.  This tool also can be used to break a window in case you find yourself trapped in the car and the red bit can be removed to cut the seatbelt if needed.  Everyone should have one in their car, it might just save your life.  Here's a link, Car door assist handle.
