Herbie stopped for a chat

Such a lovely man, I asked him how he got into cycling. He was a runner for years apparently. . Ran the Le Man's TT course, ran Brighton to London, plus marathons, after retiring from playing amateur football at the tender age of 23...He nursed his wife who had dementia, at home, until she passed away. Moved down to CK as one of his daughters lives here. He's 83, got a few health problems, but trys to cycle 9-10 laps around the heath every morning.
I normally only see the back of him in his snazzy lycra outfits as he whizzes past so took the opportunity of asking if I could take his photo.
