Seasons

It is August still but we have a very blustery wind again today and it was cool this morning.

Popped down to Bingley with Chris for a bit of shopping and noticed some of the trees around the market place  in the centre are showing hints of autumn gold. Had a coffee at Woodbank on the way back and saw a couple of fellow ATN singers. In the way out I saw they had autumn Cyclamen for sake as well as lots of bulbs.

I’ve been sorting out the back ‘guest’ bedrooms since our weekend visitors were here and I noticed the Magnolias had a few blooms on them near the top.
The larger pink Soulangia has blooms still to open and some almost past whereas the Susan, ( bottom right) has lots of purple buds. Don’t think they know what season it is!
Sadly the small Magnolia Stellata behind them has lots of brown leaves, maybe it won’t be back with us next spring, we’ll have to wait and see.
