Today Orla talked about Creativity & Performance

Here is a link to the playlist of all of Orla's previous interviews.

Here is a summary of what was covered in today's interview:

1. Musical Theatre
   - Pantomimes: Orla had a fantastic time performing in pantomimes, playing Captain Hook in "Peter Pan" last year and the Evil Queen in "Snow White" this year. She loved the role of Queen Evelyn, especially with the additional props and a fun musical number where she got to sing "Black Magic" by Little Mix in a posh RP accent!
   - Dance Displays: Orla also participated in dance displays, performing "Seize the Day" from 'Newsies'. She was thrilled to have the main solo part, and it was an incredible experience to perform in front of a large audience.

2. Acting and Filmmaking at RCS
   - Acting Course: Orla took part in an acting and filmmaking course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS). She performed a spooky monologue from "Welcome to Night Vale" and acted in scenes from "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and "Back to the Future." She really enjoyed the creative process and working with others.
   - Film Challenges: Throughout the course, Orla engaged in film challenges where her group created short films. She edited these films, finding the process both fun and fulfilling.

3. Summer Course at RCS
   - Over the summer, Orla attended a two-week course at RCS focused on musical theater. She performed in "Bonnie and Clyde," playing the character Buck in a rotating cast. Orla absolutely loved the experience, especially the mix of comedic scenes and emotional turning points. The course was particularly special as it allowed her to perform in the prestigious New Athenaeum Theatre with live music.

4. Music
   - Piano Lessons: Orla has been diligently working on her piano skills, focusing on "Clair de Lune" for an upcoming showcase.
   - Singing Lessons: Inspired by last year’s showcase, Orla started singing lessons this year and is excited to join the singers on stage for the first time!

5. Writing
   - Fan Fiction: Orla proudly completed and published her first fan fiction online this summer. She was thrilled to receive six comments in just two days, and the positive feedback has motivated her to continue writing.

6. Video Editing
   - Editing for RCS: Orla explored video editing, using DaVinci Resolve to edit the films from her RCS course. She’s found editing to be incredibly rewarding.
   - Personal Projects: Additionally, Orla’s passion for "Sandersides" led her to recreate scenes in her bedroom, using makeshift costumes from around the house. She then edited these scenes together, adding her own creative touches.
