Yorkshire Paradise

Who needs to be abroad when the weather is like this? A two hour drive with a stop off for lunch in Knaresborough (which is very lardee-dah who knew?) and we have arrived at our holiday home for the week. Staying in a log cabin on a lake in the Yorkshire Dales.

No airports, no hassle. Although am sure if it was raining it would be a completely different story!

The place is beautiful. Lots of little cabins dotted around a lake full of ducks and jumping carp fish. Audrey absolutely loves watching them and has been on the go since we arrived this afternoon, exploring and cooing at everything.

It is so much more baby friendly than our own house that we can pretty much let her roam. Much to her delight.

As a result, she missed her afternoon nap for the first time ever. So we had to put her to bed early tonight.

Tesco delivery just arrived and the fridge is stacked with goodies. Angus and I are both unwinding, taking it in turns to sit out and read on the decking while the other looks after Audrey. I think we're going to like it here!
