Audrey for Prime Minister

I might as well write my daily blip now as I'm a prisoner on my own sofa. Audrey has fallen asleep on me (her new habit - crying until I cuddle her then promptly falling asleep) and she looks so peaceful I daren't move. It has already been 2 hours, I need the loo and am soooo thirsty! Motherhood, all about sacrifice.

Am mainly in love with Audrey today. So much so I think my heart my burst. She's becoming more alert and her character (mischievous and clever - what a combination!) is starting to show. I swear she's trying to talk too as she's started making loud vowel sounds when she's happy. Which is quite often now that she's better (on medication for her reflux).

Talking of clever. Last night she dropped her dummy below her chest and managed to retrieve it herself using her a combination of chin and hand movements. No intervention from us required. Dummy safely retrieved and back in her mouth. At 6 weeks old!! Wish we'd video'd it as it was quite remarkable. My husband's already talking about Mensa and Oxford University. I'm thinking future Prime Minister.

I realise I only ever speak about Audrey and although the most fascinating subject in the world to me; this is pretty boring to everyone else. I make no apology I'm afraid. This girl is my life right now. And am loving every minute since she got better.....one happy Mummy right here :)
