Cranachan

JP and I. had a day at the book festival today with two events, the first being Tracy Chevalier talking about The Glass Maker and Harriet Constable on The Instrumentalist, both books being set in Venice, then in the afternoon, Annabelle Hirsch talking about A History of Women in 101 Objects. I would certainly like to read all of the books.

We had lunch in Canopy Restaurant (in the Futures Institute building) which was very civilised and this was my dessert, billed as cranachan. Although I haven't seen it look quite like this before, it was delicious.
