In charge

Suki was in charge of the house while I went up to Yorkshire.

She had plenty to eat, clean fresh water, dried food in reserve, and a clean litter tray.

I was very relieved that she was fine. (She can be a bit naughty with wires, carpets, and other stuff). She wasn’t on the window ledge as I drove onto the drive. She had a good excuse; she was glaring at the white and black cat that occasionally arrives.
