American avocet

A rare bird for this area, possibly they got caught in some of the winds ahead of Hurricane Ernesto. There were 2 American avocets spotted at Rainbow Haven Beach yesterday so I decided to see if I could find them this afternoon. All I had to do was follow some other people with cameras.

Do we work tomorrow or not? There is rain in the forecast but later in the morning the chance of showers drops to 40%, and there is only 5 mm in the forecast anyways, with possibly higher amounts in thunder showers.
