Where's Ollie . . . ?!
The old road through the village used to go along the back of the houses, rather than along the shore. Over the years it has become very overgrown and there are a couple of springs which keep it pretty muddy, so for a lot of the time it is a wellies only track. The only vehicles which use it are the occasional tractor and bold boys in their huge four wheel drives!
At this time of the year it is a wilderness of wild flowers. In the ditches along the sides the yellow flag irises are in flower. There are blue and yellow vetches, buttercups and daisies, red and white clovers and down in the bottom of the grasses the tiny little eyebright is flowering.
And yes, Ollie is in there too!
