Cracked earth

We went to the more open, wild section of the park where our pup Daisy could run free when she was with us. It was actually nice to remember her while there. Steve & I had not walked that section for a while because when it rains a lot it gets very muddy. The puddles/mud make it difficult to even continue.

We took a chance today and the ground had mostly dried out from the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Debby. I was still amazed when we came upon this cracked earth... I had to take a photo or two. It looks otherworldly!
