Spitfire Kelvingrove Museum Glasgow

Opened in 1901 as The Palace of Fine Arts for the Glasgow International Exhibition, and built in the Spanish Baroque style, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is a much loved visitor attraction by Glaswegians.  Its impressive art collection includes works by Salvador Dali, Rembrandt, Monet, Renoir, and Van Gogh to name a few.  Sir Roger, the Indian elephant seen above has been standing in the main gallery for over 100 years.  The Spitfire suspended above flew with 602 (City of Glasgow) squadron.
