‘Wow! Wow! Wow! Fellas!’

Fantastic production of Hello Dolly, directed by our friend Dominic at the London Palladium, a theatre I hadn’t been to in decades.  We met up with HB at Cafe Kitty and had a pre show cocktail and some delicious small plates and walked up to the theatre

It’s not a show I’ve ever seen before and apart from The Song I only knew one other but it’s huge fun and the production was witty and colourful. Imelda was absolutely sensational and it was clear the audience were there for her.  H and I were remembering her as a Hot Box girl in the 1980s production of Guys and Dolls when I was an usher at the National Theatre.  What a performer - Dame to be for sure! 

The rest of the day was office. Meeting with Christian about the future and the parent company, more about the launch of the show.   

But on the way home a steam train with vintage carriages arrived into Waterloo and then 10 minutes later left again.  What excitement!
