Yum!
We made it to Friday - Happy dance!

All of last night’s extra work paid off! I led a really clear and successful training for my team today because I did so much preparation and rehearsing last night. And then I went to the office to see how the remodel refresh is going. New paint, new furniture, new configuration! Still waiting for a few pieces of furniture before we can unpack our boxes, but it’s coming along nicely.

I’m currently sitting on the couch, debating screen time on my phone, exercise, or sleep. I’ll be honest, sleep is winning the dilemma right now. Only time will tell….

Again new words for Mimi. She woke up this morning and pointed at her baby cam. “Camera,” she said. I’m surprised because I think I’ve only told her it was a camera a small handful of times in the past, and not recently. So I tested her and asked her where’s the cheetah (she has a wilderness print on her crib sheet). Putting her pacifier in her mouth so that she has a free hand to point, she correctly pointed at the cheetah. Yay! The test continues. “Where’s the tiger?” (I know cheetahs and tigers don’t live together (except for a small region in India). Ecological accuracy is not the point.) Instead of pointing to the tiger on her bedsheet, she reached for Tigger and gave him a hug. Impressive! Every single bit of cognitive progress fills my heart soooo much. Yesterday I gave her a toy burrito assembly kit that’s been sitting in storage. I taught her to say burrito, so now she enthusiastically says: “Bur-TEE-Toe!”

Mimi helped me with dinner tonight. She put the pre-measured ingredients into the bowl and mixed it. She surprised me again by identifying corn still in the husk. She knows naked corn on the cob, but I was surprised that she recognized corn in the husk as I've only shucked whole corn in front of her one other time. "Corn!" she exclaimed with her little finger as I pulled it out of the produce bag.
