Moving on...

Today was the end of the first part of our holiday and the beginning of the second. We were moving on from Naples to Sanibel Island. We used this trip as an excuse to explore along the way, and stopped at Bonita Springs to enjoy the lovely Everglades Wonder Gardens. This was a nice stop. The gardens have obviously seen better days and some of the enclosures were empty and derelict. However, those that were in use were well maintained and the animals seemed well looked after, and the staff were extremely friendly and enthusiastic. It seemed as though new people had taken over and were trying to breathe new life into the place and we wish them well. In conjunction with the wildlife area, there was a photography exhibition of photographs by John Brady and they were stunning. If any Blippers are in the area, I strongly recommend that they drop by and support the enterprise.
After that we had a lovely lunch at Coconut jack's Waterfront Grill, which was really enjoyable... and all before we'd even reached Sanibel...
This lovely butterfly was caught at the Everglades Wonder Gardens...
