Celebrating
We’ve been prematurely celebrating my older granddaughter’s birthday in Edinburgh today, and I’m still experiencing the after-effects of some extremely good champagne, with which her parents , grandparents and uncle toasted her as she drank a mocktail. Before that moment, we’d driven from home through horrendous traffic in a car that had been doused in seawater just before we discovered the windscreen washer had broken…
We met the girls for a late lunch in the St James’s Centre, then went shopping, although we ran out of time so Catriona will finish without us - just the dosh. Then we all congregated in The Nor’Loft and a marvellous table with a view over the roofs of Edinburgh and the aforementioned champagne.
