Ghost face

Snapped this morning from my seat in the living room, drinking my morning coffee. It's some honesty we found in the garden in winter 2022, the roses from the beautiful bouquet that P brought with him in June. And miscellaneous other dried flowers from the garden. I do like dried flowers.

I took the morning off for exercise purposes. First, a session on the spinning bike. And then 52 minutes in the sea with L, as practice for the Kessock swim. I did get a bit of cramp right at the end, but basically it was fine, and we covered about 950 metres. So not quite a full Kessock swim, but most of one.

This afternoon I caught up with emails and tried to figure out how to start another of the little entries that I have been writing for an online encyclopaedia. I think it was figured out by the end of the afternoon. Oh, and checked the copy-editing of the one I wrote a few weeks ago, so that should be uploaded in September. And planned out a few activities. Not much in the garden, as it's been cold and grey all day, and periodically looked as if it was going to rain, although it hasn't done. It really is already feeling very autumnal. I had to swap out the duvets today, as I was too cold last night (admittedly we've been using a 2.5 tog duvet, so we've gone up to 4.5 tog).

I made scrambled eggs on toast for tea, with sides of hot smoked salmon from Profish and feta cheese. Sprinkled with chives from the garden from our ever giving chive plant.

The weekend beckons.
