Promising

The figs seem to be doing well this year. Our friends have a tree we will be able to pick from as they do not like figs and will not be here anyway when the fruit ripens. We set off today at 6 am and arrived tired but safe after an 11 and a half hour journey. The traffic was not too bad in our direction but very busy for those returning from the coast after a holiday weekend. I went down one of the new motorways that does not have toll booths but requires a visit to a website to pay later. It was quite a faff setting up an account and entering card details to pay for a journey that only cost one euro.
