The Mad Botanists!

Another day, another botanic garden! This time Pinya de Rosa, just outside Blanes and renowned as one of the world’s centres of cactus cultivation and study. Wildwood will be saying, ‘What about my South Californian garden!!!’

A wonderful landscape developed since the area was first purchased, privately, in 1945 to become a centre of excellence in all things cacti. Not sure if the first owner was a prickly character but he did a good job.

Later, to Cal Tony for an always reliable lunch with super family service. Supper at The Shack.
