And They Were All......Orange!

A great night out with my girl at the Book Festival. Housed in it's new home at Edinburgh Futures Institute. A great vibe, feels reminiscent of Charlotte Square but better. Lounging seats outside where you can also watch the George Square crowds too.

First up, a poetry reading by Hollie McNish, new to me, but I will be looking out for her books. Many poets in the crowd, noticeable by their extended hairdos, which were fascinating.

A quick trip over to Fettle on Potterow, which is hosting a pop-up, Coop, a part of the Tomas Gormley Skua/Cardinal empire. Delicious fried chicken and flatbreads.

Then into Sentimental Garbage, the podcast by Caroline O'Donoghue, in conversation with Marian Keys. Two wumin wit de craik. Not an author I would read, but interesting conversation.

Interesting letting the youff pick the shows. I was taken to things I wouldn't have picked, and I loved it.
