The Ordinary

I read recently about the need to photograph The Ordinary as it may soon not be Ordinary. I liked that idea.

Up and out early to get jags for our big trip. We needed less that we thought. You no longer get polio on a sugar cube.... now there was a time when that was the norm, the Ordinary....

These front doors may look Ordinary but they are anything but. There has been quite a rumpus recently in Edinburgh about the colour of a front door in the west end. The owner painted it three times before it was considered acceptable. It went from bright pink to green to a hint of pink. The neighbours are still unhappy.

These doors are in a conservation area. The blue one may fit with planning regulations but the orange one most certainly doesn't.

We are very particular in Edinburgh you know!
