The maison de douanes
We went to the old Customs house in St Palais to see the exhibition of Jackie Kennedy. If you didn’t know, you’d think her life ended at the funeral of JFK, but actually she achieved quite a bit later on. Such as saving Grand Central Terminus in NYC.
We’d seen most of the photos before, as we’ve been to the Hyannisport museum, but it was interesting to see the book written by the French chef engaged when JFK became President. He’d written a cookbook which was displayed.
Later our gîte guests invited us to a bbq, which was very enjoyable, and then they all went night swimming.
In the photos are JFK’s golf clubs, the customs house, and the views from the customs house.
